Flowing Water Sangha
Flowing Water Sangha originated from Still Water Sangha. Still Water Sangha
began several years ago, after Chris Checkett and Marilyn Withers attended a
retreat with Thich Nhat Hanh in Vermont. Still Water met at various locations over
a the span of a several years. For various reasons Flowing Water emerged and
generally meets at Hope House, on Cleveland’s West Side. Flowing Water Sangha meets
regularly on Monday evenings from 7:00-8:00pm and the gathering consists of 35
minutes of sitting meditation followed by a short reading from Tich Nhat Hanh or
some other author, with brief sharing about the reading, five minutes of tonglen,
or perhaps chanting Ho Opono Pono, and possibly one Dance of Universal Peace, then
closing with one final minute of meditation which includes the gatha, “The day is now ended....”
Flowing Water is an open sangha, all are welcome.
