The HopeSpace/Hope House logo indicates the integration of
                                             feminine
and masculine energies.

The yellow triangle is the ancient sun sign while the blue triangle is the ancient water sign. The

hexagram predates Judiasm and its significance as the "Star of David".

In classical Greek, each of the letters of the alphabet held numerical value and writers carefully

chose words in order to carry the significance of the numerical values taught by Plato and

Pythagoras. The practice is referred to as gematria.

The Platonic/Pythagorean number signifying the eternal masculine is 666, the number of the

masculine/solar principle, the Oriental "Yang", with the qualities of law, order, justice,

righteousness, reason, victory. In the Christian writing know as the Book of Revelation, 666 is the

number of the Beast. Indeed if masculine energy dominates culture as it has for several thousand

years, dis-integration happens on a wide scale and eventually destroys not only the human species

but Planet Earth as well.

The number for the Eternal Feminine is 1080, the Oriental "Yin", chaos, flood, bottomless pit,

abyss. The qualities of the feminine are darkness, silence, intuition, gentleness, rain, and "the shady

side of the mountain".

If feminine energy were to dominate culture, that too would be destructive.

In other words, if the sun shines everywhere, all the time, everything is scorched/dies. If water

covers everything all the time, everything drowns/dies.

It is only the integration of the energies that
nurtures wholeness. This integration also has a number.

That number is 1746. No doubt, that is the reason that a central image of three of the four Christian

Greek Canonical Gospels is "mustard seed," (kakkos sinapeos) whose numerical value is the exact

sum of 666 and 1080 = 1746. Plato called the number 1746 "The Same and The Other" and "Fusion."

This number is the Holy Marriage of two opposite principles. Hence the little "tree" in the middle of

the Yellow and Blue triangles is intended to represent a "mustard tree" whose seed is nearly

undiscernable to the naked eye.

The entire logo for HopeSpace, then, bespeaks "Partnership" - partnership of women and men,

partnership of humans and Earth, partnership harmony of Creation and THE ONE. Hence, we

see the "Path of Life" as a way of cooperation; the "Path of Death" as a way of violence with all its

ego-absorption.

The "Path of Life" requires commitment to spiritual practice which nudges us toward ego-less-ness,

so that our true Self or Essence can be "head of the house" rather than Ego.  Ego needs to be the

servant of True Self or Essence rather than the other way around. There is abundant evidence that

when ego is in "control" we are in deep trouble - clinging, climbing, claiming,

controlling...DESTROYING!  So "choose life, that you may live!"...indeed have life in abundance!!
